Our commitment to our regional communities in Northeast Pennsylvania transcends the walls of our clinical locations and learning environments by spurring economic growth and development in our surrounding communities. In addition to delivering high-quality, comprehensive, responsive whole-person primary health services to patients and families in need; training doctors and an interprofessional health care workforce dedicated to making a genuine difference in the communities they are privileged to serve; and becoming a crucial component of the region’s emergency response plans, we are strong drivers of our local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We play a vital role in improving the financial health of our communities by creating jobs, investing in capital improvements, and supporting local businesses through the purchase of goods and services. We are also among the larger employers in Northeast Pennsylvania. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud to serve as a successful conduit for responsibly stewarding local, state, and federal funds into our regional economy by fostering workforce development, creating job opportunities, and supporting the retention of employees and physicians. As a Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education Safety-Net Consortium and Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike, we benefit from an array of financial investments, including local, state, and federal grants, hospital affiliations through residency and fellowship agreements, reimbursements, Institutional Review Board (IRB) and research fees, interest and dividends, patient services, 340B drug pricing, and various contributions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
